- General instructions: Category texts are used in webshops products. The purpose of this type of text is two-fold:
- To increase the visibility of the webshop on Google (especially when someone googles for a particular product).
- To entice the customer to buy (to convert)
- The descriptions:
- should contain the keywords the client has specified (product name).
- should be factually correct.
- should not make any promises that can’t be kept (e.g. “this shirt will look as good after 100 washes as it did brand new”).
- should be positive and talk about what one can do with the products. They should NOT bring up the limitations of the products.
Yes: “The non-stick coating makes it possible to cook without using fat, making for healthier meals.”
No: “Cannot go in the dishwasher. Do not use washing up liquid when cleaning. Do not leave near children.”
